Thistle Systems has added SAFEcontractor to its growing list of accreditations as it looks to reinforce its commitment to excellent Health and Safety Standards.
The company which already boasts accreditations under the CHAS, Constructionline and Altius schemes, has established an enviable reputation in the market for its creative solutions in both the storage equipment market and interior fit outs, all backed by its Zero Defect Guarantee.
The addition of the SAFEcontractor scheme now enables Thistle Systems to automatically meet the prequalification standards for hundreds of major clients across the UK, who demand the impeccable standards that can only be met by completing the rigorous assessment.
Thistle Systems Health and Safety Manager, Stewart MacDonald, explained, “Health and safety has always been a primary focus and I am proud of our superb track record in this area. The seal of approval that comes with the SAFEcontractor scheme is a major achievement and further enhances our position as one of the UK’s leading independent storage and interior fit out companies.”
SAFEcontractor is applicable to most sectors although it is particularly relevant to property, facilities management, food manufacture, retail and leisure sectors, all of which are big users of contract services.
Darran Hughes; Operations Director of SAFEcontractor said, “Major organisations can no longer run the risk of employing contractors who are not able to prove that they have sound health and safety policies.”
He continued, “More companies need to understand the importance of adopting good risk management in the way that Thistle Systems has done. The firm’s high standard has set an example, which hopefully will be followed by other companies within the sector.”
