Thistle Systems Deliver High Density Archive Shelving  Solution For Iron Mountain

Thistle Systems has delivered a high density shelving solution for the world's leading records management company, Iron Mountain, to provide storage capacity for almost 3000 archive boxes within a footprint of just under 26 square metres.

Using their heavy duty shelving system, Thistle's project team  designed a storage solution that featured 7 levels of shelving per bay with no fewer than 45 boxes per level .

The solution provided additional storage capacity at Iron Mountain's storage facility in Aberdeen where they use their state of the art systems to manage documents on behalf of their blue chip clients in the surrounding area.

Thistle's Project Manager, Bruce McGregor, explained "The key factor in these types of projects is creating a solution that maximizes capacity whilst ensuring the documents being stored are secure and can be retrieved quickly and easily for clients use."

He continued, "However we are always looking for ways in which we can save clients money and by using heavy duty supports to the bottom section and combining them with medium duty supports to the top third of the racking, we were able to slash a significant amount off the initial budget."
