Thistle Dripping With Success in Medical Storage Solution

Thistle's expertise in designing medical storage solutions was put to the test as it developed a bespoke storage cabinet for Gartnavel Hospital to store potentially hazardous liquid in their laboratory areas.

Thistle's design team worked with the client to develop a shelving system manufactured from 316 Grade stainless steel with tray shelves to prevent spilled material from dripping off the sides of the shelving and instead be channelled through pre-drilled holes to the bund below.

The bund was specifically designed to be able to hold the maximum storage capacity of the storage system in the unlikely event that every bottle on the system was to spill its entire contents and features a release tap for the safe removal of any waste.
