Thistle Install Security Mesh Doors to Council Work Stores
The theft of stock is a critical issue in stores and warehouses across the country, however Thistle Systems has developed a solution for one local authority works departments that wanted to take matters into its own hands.
Working with the General Stores Manager, Thistle Systems developed a solution that featured over 45 square metres of mesh panelling to protect the joinery stores from general unauthorised access.
To provide access for loading and unloading of materials, Thistle design and installed a bi-parting lockable door system capable of accommodating a fork lift truck.
As part of the project, Thistle also installed a galvanised cantilever racking system to the yard area which it also fitted with security mesh panels as well as corrugated roof to provide the materials with shelter.
Project Manager, John Balfour, explained "Mesh panels and security caging are an areas of our product portfolio that has grown rapidly in the last 12 months as more companies look to increase the protection of their stock or high value assets."
He continued, " Our experience in designing highly efficient warehouse workspaces provides us with a better understanding how we can integrate security storage systems so that they provide the level of protection required without compromising on access or storage capacity."
