Complete Office Storage Solution for Allander Doctors Surgery

Thistle Systems has shown how a well designed storage solution can play a key role in creating an efficient administration department in a doctors practice with the fit out of the office storage in the new Allander Surgery in Possil Park.

Working in conjunction with the client and architects, Dallman Johnstone, Thistle's project team carried out a full survey of the office environment and discussed the work processes of the team before designing the complete office storage solution incorporating medical records and general office storage.

As with many doctors surgeries, the office was confined to a relatively tight area and with a busy administration team it was vital that the solution maximised the storage capacity of medical records without compromising on accessibility and provided a good level of storage for additional office items.

After discussing the pros and cons of the various options with the client, it was agreed that accessibility was the most important factor and Thistle set about maximising the capacity of a static shelving.

The final solution featured 72 linear metres of static shelving for the portrait medical records and created a storage wall system using shelving bays to provide ample storage for the general office requirements.

Working with the client, Thistle designed the storage system to incorporate pigeon holes, drop files, drawers and full cupboards to deliver a versatile solution that met the client's needs exactly.
